Digital Humanities

The IZMF offers researchers engaged in digital humanities a platform to exchange interests and experience, to cooperate in interdisciplinary research initiatives and to support third-party acquisitions.

With the integration of the Institute for Medieval and Early Modern Material Culture (IMAREAL) in Krems in 2012 and the “Middle High German Conceptual Database” (MHDBDB) supervised by the University of Salzburg since 2004 and incorporated in 2016, the focus of Digital Humanities is based on two research institutions that are experienced in digital applications. New initiatives, events and expanded teaching facilities are constantly being launched with the aim of promoting digital humanites on all levels.
